Our
Commitment: All the Right Stuff
OUR HISTORY
William
C. Bardeleben learned how to die cut at the age of 20.
He worked for Central Mounting in Chicago. When the recession hit in the
early 70's, he was laid off. Unable to find work anywhere, and pressed
to provide for his wife and three young children, he took a risk and started
his own business. He chose to locate the business near Logan Square in
Chicago. The site required a great deal of renovation to make it usable,
but it was next door to Thiessen Printing Corporation, a reliable customer
who wanted to enhance its own finishing capabilities. Precision Die Cutting
and Finishing Company started operations in April 1974. Then, Wild Bill,
as he would come to be known, was a one-man show with five used machines
and the vision and determination to create a successful business. Over
the years, he nurtured
the business with sweat equity and diligently trained the employees that
now operate
and own Precision Die Cutting. William Bardeleben recognized that a solid
commitment to customer service, talent and teamwork would ensure the continuation
of his dream.
Precision
Die Cutting & Finishing Company is the proud Winner of the year 2000 Blue
Chip Enterprise Award for Illinois. This award, which is co-sponsored
by The United States Chamber of
Commerce and The MassMutual Financial Group, recognizes small businesses
that have overcome challenges, seized opportunities and achieved success.

RELATIONSHIPS
Still in our original location, next door to Thiessen
Printing Corp., Bob Rieger Vice President Plant Operations
wrote, " Having good neighbors where you live makes life more fulfilling
in the big picture of life. To have faith in people, during the easy times,
is comfortable. Having faith in people, during crisis, is staving off
your next heart attack.
My experience working with William Bardeleben and his staff for
26 years has been very enjoyable. It has made my scheduling of
jobs run smoothly and efficiently.
Precision Die has been a strong "right arm" of Thiessen Printing in support,
price, quality and craftsmanship and most of all, friendship.
Our
relationship with Jet Lithocolor, Inc.
of Downers' Grove started in 1976 and we continue to provide them the
best in quality service. Mike McNeil, Senior Vice President of Operations,
stated: "I have worked with the fine people at Precision on a regular
basis for many years. They are flexible. That is very important for us.
Our clients need to respond to today's quickly changing marketplace and
the people at Precision help us to do that. And they do it without sacrificing
quality. They are the best value for finishing in the Chicago market."
Illinois Tool Works,
a well-respected producer of automotive parts located in Frankfort, needed
a reliable vendor for a protective piece to cover their door handles.
Since 1995, we have worked side by side with their engineers to create
custom solutions. Our quality assurance rating from ITW has consistently
been 100%.
We've worked with Ladendorf Brothers Inc.,
of Chicago Illinois for over 20 years. Mark Ladendorf had this to say
about Precision: "Reliable, quick pricing, good quality and doesn't take
chances with our hard work."
Another long-term customer, Cordell Laminating,
Ltd., of Skokie, Illinois, uses our easels exclusively. John
Nelson, Director of Operations stated, " We have bought easels from Precision
Die for 15 years and have never found a better easel anywhere! Day after
day we get compliments on our easels from our customers. Precision's easels
are clean, durable and give my counter cards the perfect finishing touch."
